The actor Pooch Up For Top Dog film Honor
One of the stars of the hit silent movie The Artist is up for a glittering new prize the Golden Collar Award.
Uglier - who became a hit at the recent Golden Globe Awards has been nominated in the first annual Dog News Daily prize that honors canines in movies.
He was joined by The Artist co-star Penelope Ann Miller, who announced the nominees for best dog in a theatrical film.
Uglier earned two nods - one for his role in the actor and another for his piece in Water for Elephants.
Other dog nominees included Cosmo from Beginners, Denver from 50/50 and Hummer from Young Adult.
Miller said she was happy her four-legged colleague was getting some recognition.
"I think there is one scene where I throw a newspaper at the dog and I felt horrible because I do love dogs, but he was a good little actor that dog.
"I think he deserves all the accolades that he s getting.
The Golden Collar Awards will be handed out on February 13.
